relationship Advice: Words Can Hurt or Heal

"Stick and stones, may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

Remember that diminutive rhyme from childhood?

Country Coach

It's wrong.

And more than that, it's a lie. Words are very powerful. Words can hurt or heal, build up or tear down, relieve or curse.

According to Mike Gordon, pastor at CenterPoint Church in Ocala, Fla., very few of us are prone to slice and dice our partner with our words.

At the same time, most of us are guilty of making diminutive cuts, or "nicking" those we love with our words.

Have you nicked your partner lately?

And no, I do not mean shaving. I mean nicking with your words. The diminutive cuts and jabs, the sarcasm and put-downs we sometimes carelessly throw out there.

It took me just about the whole first year of marriage to shape out that what some of my friends found hilarious, my wife did not find at all amusing at best, and cut and hurt her at worst.

Other folks excuse "nicking" as just being brutally honest. In my experience, most of the folks who brag about being brutally honest enjoy the brutality more than the honesty.

John Powell said, "The genius of transportation is the ability to be both totally honest and totally kind at the same time."

The power of the tongue

Our tongue, and the words that come from it, has imaginable power. Words have the power to hurt or to heal, to tear down or build up, and to curse or comfort.

How have you been using your words with the one you say you love? If you realize you have been doing some nicking up until now, here are two things you can do:

1) Make a commitment to use your words to relieve not curse, heal not hurt, build up not tear down

2) Go to your love and apologize for nicking in the past and let the one you love know you intend to convert this bad habit. The words could be something like:

"I realize I have nicked you and hurt you with my words, and I apologize and hope you can forgive me. I'm also making a commitment to you to operate my tongue in the future."

A word of warning as you apologize. I know of one gentlemen who apologized by saying "I need to tell you I am sorry for nicking you." Well, somehow what she heard was "I want to apologize for Nicky."

You can imagine how the conversation took an unexpected detour from there.

The above example, and the one below, demonstrate just how very much the words we select to use matter to those we love.

Different words, dissimilar result

A country boy fell head over heels for a diminutive girl who lived down the lane. The question was, every time he got around her, his knees shook and he stammered when he tried to speak. He just had no clue about how to talk to this girl.

So one day he went to town and followed a city boy who was known for being good with the ladies, trying to pick up some tips. The country boy listened as the city boy looked deep into the eyes of his girlfriend and said "Your charm could make time stand still."

"That's it!" he said, and rushed back to the country and found his girl. Taking her by the hand under the apple tree, he looked deep into her eyes and said, "Your face could stop a clock."

Same content. dissimilar words. Very dissimilar result.

Remember, you have a choice, hurt or heal, tear down or build up, curse or comfort.

Which words would you like to use, and which words would you like to be used with you?

Coaching Tools 101 - The Wheel of Life - 11 New and Improved Uses For the ultimate Coaching Tool

The Wheel of Life may be 'old hat' to us coaches, but it's a excellent visual coaching tool with many uses in the coaching world. In fact it may just be the best and most flexible coaching tool -- in any coach's toolbox.

We forget that The Wheel of Life is still new to most of our clients. And even when they have come across it before it will tell them something new when they use it again, because like most coaching tools it can only catch how man feels at a occasion in time.

Coaches

So, apart from the coarse use of the wheel to look at life balance, how else can we use The Wheel of Life to help our clients? Here are 11 new and improved uses for The Wheel of Life:
Use The Wheel of Life to help your clients set meaningful goals. Areas with low scores are ideal candidates for your clients to set bigger goals around. Tip: This is an especially beneficial tool for enterprise and career/executive coaches -- to edge left-brained clients into 'softer' areas that enhance their whole lives. Which will, of course, advantage their careers and businesses in the long run. Use a wheel to drill down and help your clients understand their lives and issues more deeply. Take one of the segments or categories and ask them to delve deeper by writing out 8 areas that make up that segment for them. Tip: Eg. A 'Finance' wheel could consist of saving for a house or wedding, spending less/budgeting, saving for retirement, paying off prestige cards, getting a best paid job etc. Help your clients see how far they've come. Use The Wheel of Life monthly or regular with your clients, as both a check-in to see how they're doing And as a way for them to see how they've improved and grown. Improved scores demonstrate concrete value from coaching and help clients see their learnings and progression. Tip: It's a bit like looking back over an old journal and looking how far you've come! De-stress your Clients! What about The Wheel of Stress of The Wheel of Frustration? Take the usual 'life balance' categories off the wheel and help your client 'free think' through their issues. Get them to label the top 8 areas that stress them out or frustrate them most. Ask them to score How stressful and frustrating each of their areas is out of 10 -- and quote the results with them. Tip: Ask, which area stresses them out the most? Are there any surprises? How could they lower their scores? Help your clients get excited about life! How about The Wheel of Happiness, Fun or even Excitement? Depending on what your client needs/is looking for, ask your client to come up with 8 areas or things that are fun or make them excited or happy. Label the wheel segments accordingly and ask your client for an operation or commitment for each segment. What do they notice? How could they bring more of each segment into their lives? Tip: Help them find many wins, ie. Areas where one operation raises their score across a estimate of areas? For enterprise Coaches, use the wheel to identify Sales and/or Marketing actions for your clients. Take a blank wheel and add the key areas where your clients need to take action. Ask your clients come up with actions for each to faultless in the next month. Tip: For example, a Marketing Wheel might consist of the following; online group networks, Seo, description marketing, primary networking, newsletter, trade shows, advertising, seminars. Priorities Management. What are your client's top priorities -- this could be at work, home or life in general. Ask your client to label each segment and specifically identify their top 3 priorities. Then get them to score their satisfaction out of 10 for each area. Tip: What do they notice? Do they have their priorities 'straight' or do they need to shift their focus? What actions could they take to enhance their scores? Understanding what's Truly leading in life. Get your client to list or brainstorm their priorities or goals - request them to list everything they want to "Be, Do and Have" in life is a great way to do this. Now ask them to take each priority or goal and go nearby the Wheel of Life 'balance' categories and ask, "Will achieving this enhance my satisfaction in this area?" and for each area that is improved, that goal gets a point. Then you quote which goals get the top and bottom scores. What do they notice? What have they learned? This helps habitancy to see what will truly make a disagreement in their lives as opposed to what they think will enhance their lives. Tip: Let's assume your client wants to buy a Ferrari. Will it enhance their Finances? No. Will it enhance their relationships with family and friends? Probably not. Will it enhance their Career? Unlikely. Will it enhance their Fun? Yes. And so on until you get a score of possibly 2 out of a potential 8. Now take being a great Dad. It may not enhance your finances or your vocation (although you never know) but it will help your family relationships, fun, health, personal growth etc so you possibly get a score of 6 out of 8. Identifying skill gaps for promotions/new jobs/careers. Use a blank wheel and get your client (or you can do this beforehand) to label the Top 8 Skills they will need to get the job or promotion they want. Now get them to score, out of 10, where they are at the occasion against each of the skills. Finally assign an operation against each of the skill areas where they need to boost their skills. Tip: You could even ask them to identify an operation for areas where they score highly, "What could they do to truly excel at that skill?" Help your clients identify what they are looking for in a relationship. This is called The relationship Wheel. So, take a blank wheel and ask your client to label the segments with the 8 qualities an ideal partner would have. This Must be done by the client! And then ask them to give a score as to how leading out of 10 each potential is. This will help them identify whether being provocative or romantic is as leading as being reliable, having a good sense of humour or a good parent. Tip: You can even use the strategy outlined earlier in estimate 8 where you take each personal potential they've listed, and give it a point for each area on the Wheel of Life that it improves. Which qualities will truly make a disagreement in their lives? General operation Planning. Naturally use a blank wheel to help your client come up with actions. Write the goal at the top of the page and then ask them to write out the 8 actions or chunks of work that make up their goal. Tip: Ask them to put a date on each -- and they can use the pieces of pie to description % faultless for each area until it's complete!Of procedure you're not microscopic to 8 segments -- it's just a beneficial estimate -- and an easy one to divide the wheel into! So, feel free to use fewer segments or split segments to get more.
And anything we've used the wheel for I like to ask this ask when complete, "So, if this wheel represented your life/relationship/career/marketing strategy, is it a bumpy ride?"
I hope this has given you some new ideas as to how you can work with and use 'The Wheel of Life' in your coaching practice. Give it a try - it's wheely good!

Here's Some Baseball Thoughts And Quotes For Youth Baseball Coaches And Players

Coaching Youth Softball - How to Teach Softball Skills quickly and Efficiently

Coaching youth softball is no easy task. Coaching involves many responsibilities and one of them is to teach the fundamentals of the game - hitting, pitching, throwing, fielding, and so on.

However, teaching is itself a skill and not as easy as most population would like to believe. Knowing the game is the easy part; teaching it is the hard part. Coaching youth softball involves a lot of teaching.

Coaches

To make practices fun and enjoyable, youth softball coaches must be able to teach softball skills swiftly and effectively using a sound pedagogical coming that takes into list the assorted types of learners.

Here is a sound coming that involves 6 steps:

Step #1 - What and Why

Kids today need to know why you are doing things. They are indispensable thinkers. So, when you introduce the new technical element (the ''what''), elucidate them why it is important. No need for a long speech or justification, just give a reckon why so that they can more categorically buy into it.

Step #2 - Demonstrate without instruction

This is crucial yet 95% of those coaching youth softball don't it. Most kids have no idea what the skill looks like. So, even before you start giving instructions, you must give them a optic picture or optic reference of what you are talking about. Man once said that a picture is worth a thousand words and they were right.

Step #3 - Demonstrate with study using uncomplicated cues

Once the kids have a clear picture of what you are talking about, then you can supply instructions using only a few uncomplicated cues to emphasize key technical elements. Don't overload them with technical information, you will lose them.

Step #4 - Get them to try the skill

At this point, you get them to try what you just demonstrated so that they can ''feel'' what you are talking about. By nature, most athletes love to learn by doing.

Step #5 - Give them feedback

At this point, you want to give constructive feedback on what needs to be improved and what they should focus on.

Step #6 - Verify learning and let them ask questions

The worst interrogate to ask to a kid is either or not they understand. They will always say ''yes'' either because they think they understand (even if they might not) or they don't want to look like they are stupid. So, you want to quiz them asking them questions like what are the key points to verify their learning. Also supply them with a occasion to ask their own questions so that they can make sure they clearly understand what was taught.

This 6-step coming is quick and effective as it respects the fundamental law of pedagogy. I strongly encourage you to use it with your athletes.

"Thank You" Gifts for Coaches

It goes without saying that a coach should be thanked at the end of the season. Thanking man is important; it's a base of our group upbringing and it shows reverence to the man we honor. The phrase is muttered everyday, from saying "thanks" to the toll booth employee to mothers nearby the nation saying to their child, "Now what do you say?" upon any receipt of kindness from anyone.

Yet, when it comes to the unique relationship in the middle of coach and athlete, many adults have no idea the way to go about thanking the coach properly.

Coaches

First, know that the coach probably doesn't expect much. They probably just envision that the last day that the team comes together that they will be the one thanking the team and telling the team how proud they are of them. The coach, up until the last moment, if they are a good coach, will be focused on bringing a sense of personal and group esteem and fulfillment to each participant. The coach may even be thanking the parents.

There are many personalized gifts that are very appropriate, one of such is the plaque. One can, at approximately any mall or online, find a suitable, prudent plaque that can be personalized with the team name, the year, the coaches name and an "in honor of" or "recognized for" exceptional coaching and so forth.

Do not discount that a card, signed by all participants would also be a great gesture. If the coach is local, and folks are aware of a hobby or interest, or preference, it is potential that a gift certificate to a local eatery, store or entertainment outlet would be welcomed.

One or two population should in the starting of the season appoint themselves to take accountability and meet with parents via personal meeting or telephone. At this point, an deal of how much per person, participating families are willing to spend is gathered. From this, it is also a good idea to get ideas on gifts for the end of season, or at least begin to think of generic ideas.
Another meeting, telephone call or email can be followed up in a join of weeks and then again, at the end of season.

It should also be discussed on how to gift the gift or gifts. One parent could open their home as an evening to celebrate the end of season, or possibly more informally, at the end of the last team meeting, the gifts are presented at that time by players to the coach.

To summarize, thanking the coach is prominent and teaches the players respect and acknowledgment.
Way to sustain this learning would be to:

1.Gather a group to make the end of season "thank you"

2.Decide upon a proposed number per man for giving

3.Allow everyone to submit ideas for gift giving and narrow down the most beloved or logical responses

4.Perhaps a group gift inclusive or as a stand alone, such as a plaque where the coach can display and remember the year as one of productivity and accomplishment

5.Personally signed card from all team players and/or parents for a remembrance and to give intimacy to the gift giving.

6.If money is an issue and a gift is not possible, a poster or card that is well thought out and personal is also acceptable.

In closing, the thank you need not be precious or impressive; any way it should be heart felt and show respect, admiration and understanding for the time and effort, teaching and sustain that the coach has given during the season.

Coaching Baseball Batters - 3 tasteless Baseball Swing Mistakes and Corrections

Coaching youth and high school baseball batters requires a watchful eye and close attentiveness to detail. Baseball coaches must recognize and correct any flaw in batting hitting mechanics. Players should not be allowed to custom their swing over and over without correcting their mistakes. Good baseball coaches are always on the constant guard for any bad habits that a young player may develop. Here I discuss three of the most common hitting mechanical flaws and my approach to correcting each. Here are three common mistakes I often see at my baseball camps and when I witness youth games and youth practices.

1) Barring The Front Arm - The batter locks or stiffens the front arm as the swing begins. Many young batters will have assumed the correct stance and activate positions but have a tendency to tighten up as the swing begins. The barring of the front arm causes the swing to loop and to be too long. The batter has great difficulty taking the bat to the ball and manufacture contact unless the ball is thrown exactly on the swing plane. The allowable swing has a "short stroke" or path to the ball. The best way to correct barring of the front arm is to make sure that the batter keeps the front arm elbow bent or at an "L" position prior and while the swing.

Coaches

2) Stepping Out Or Pulling Off Pitches - I often see this with young kids in our summer camp program. They always step out or their front side often flies open before the ball arrives. This batter has great difficulty manufacture contact. Until this flaw is corrected, the batter will only become frustrated and embarrassed. To keep the front shoulder in the allowable "closed" position, teach the batter to keep the front shoulder fulfilled, and directed at the second baseman for right-handed batters and toward the shortstop for left-handed batters. The stepping out is a more difficult flaw to fix. Having the batter pick the front heel off the ground and stepping just slightly toward the plate may help. I frown on putting obstructions behind the front foot to keep it from spicy backward, although many coaches do this to stop this bad habit. I often use the "step in and hit: drill with a hit trainer, Bat action motor or batting tee. The batter assumes a position back away from the ball target that requires the batter to step toward the ball in order to make contact. If the batter does not step toward or into the ball, the batter will not be able to hit the ball.

3) Upper Cut Swing - The upper cut swing may be caused by two things that are swiftly identified Dropping the hands and back leg collapse can both cause the batter to swing upward. Make sure that the batter keeps the hands at the top of the strike zone and does not drop the hands or dip the back side shoulder while the swing. The back leg should be keep "tall or straight" to prevent back side dipping which can also cause an upper-cut swing. Two great drills that we use to stop this is the "Zone Circle" tee or soft-toss drill. We make a circle the side of our batting cage by inter-weaving a white or yellow rope in the net. The batter must hit or drive the ball off the tee or from a soft-toss into the circle. The batter must have a level swing and keep the front side in to be able to hit the zone.

Coaching Point: Make sure that the batter is not over striding. This too can cause a batter to pop up. The batter must join visually on the top half or middle of the ball to make good contact.

The Delayed Steal in puny League Baseball

The delayed steal is one of the great strategic and fun plays in youth baseball. Players on your team will love this when it works correctly. It is an aggressive way of advancing to an extra base. It is a strategy that should be practiced, but is unfortunately disregarded by many coaches. And though it is not full proof, I'll go over some key things to look for to keep the odds in your favor of succeeding. Let's go through the key indicators for the delayed steal to succeed.

As a coach, there are regularly three key indicators I look for to resolve if we should try the delayed steal. Any one, two, or all three that a coach observes being done, plus, depending who the base runner is, will resolve if the coach should exertion the delayed steal. The first thing and probably the most leading thing to look for is to see where the pitcher stands to retrieve the ball when there is a man on base. If the pitcher stands on the spot where he released the ball or goes back to the top of the mound to retrieve the ball from the catcher, this is a great indicator for a potential delayed steal. The supplementary the pitcher is from the catcher when retrieving the ball, the more time the base runner has to steal a base. The second thing we look for is if the catcher drops to his knees when he throws the ball back to the pitcher with a man on base. The catcher that drops to his knees will not have a lot on the ball, and it is not spicy very "speed like" back to the pitcher. This will also give the base runner more time to get to the next base. The third thing we look for, similar to the pervious, is if the catcher throws a rainbow type of throw back to the pitcher instead of a line drive. The looping throw, just like throwing from his knees, will not have a lot on the ball. Now, in a lot of situations you will have a catcher who does both, throws from his knees and also throws rainbows back to the pitcher. This is absolutely a great advantage.

Coaches

The base runner is also a determining factor. Youth coaches must be able to grasp the fact that the fastest player on your team is not necessarily your best base runner. I've had players that were among the fastest in the league but were not great base runners. Conversely, I've had players with only above median speed who were frightful base runners, and at 11 and 12 years old, had instincts beyond their age.
The job of the base runner is to not make his move too positive to the other team. He kind of sneaks off the base in a subtle manner with his knees bent, and once he sees the catcher let go of the ball, he should turn toward the base he is running to, and once it is within reach, he must slide.

We convention the delayed steal at practically each practice. When your team gets a prestige for doing this, other teams will come to be very aware and make positive adjustments. This isn't to say that as a team after a few games with victorious delayed steals, you shouldn't try it. But you should pick and chose your moment. someone else residual benefit is that spending time practicing this will make your players pay more attentiveness to the field of play when they are on base and this can follow in getting extra bases via an overthrow from the catcher to the pitcher or a wild pitch.
The delayed steal is one of the more spicy plays that will help your team gain base running awareness and follow in getting extra base running. But this must be practiced rather then just instructed your team to do it while the game.

Free Girls Softball Fastpitch Drills

Any softball coach or player who wants to learn more softball drills can actually find a lot of drills in books and videos and on the internet. Most of these drills cost money but some of them are free. These free girls softball fastpitch drills are very good. Most of the free drills focus on throwing, fielding, and hitting the ball.

Throwing the Ball

Coaches

The position of a player determines the most common types of throws that player will have to make. For example, a 3rd baseman will need to make hard throws all the way across the diamond to 1st base while a right fielder will most generally have to make a longer throw from the outfield to a cut-off man near the infield or to a base.

The Before Inning Warm-up Drill

All softball coaches and players know what players do before an inning begins. The first baseman throws a grounder to each infielder while the outfielder stands in their positions and play catch. This is a common drill while games but it should also be performed daily in practice.

The Relay Throws Drill

The Relay Throws Drill is an additional one one of the good free girls softball fastpitch drills. This drill involves 2 outfields lining up on each side of an infielder. Each player should be about 100 feet apart.

One of the outfielders starts out with the ball and throws the infielder the ball using the crow-hop. The infielder catches the ball, pivots, and uses the crow-hop while throwing the ball to the other outfielder. That outfielder catches the ball and then throws back to the infielder, once again using the crow-hop.

This drill allows all 3 players to institution throwing using a crow-hop. It also helps teach the outfielders to hit the cutoff man. Finally, it helps the infielder institution receiving the cutoff throw, pivoting, and throwing to the desired base.

Fielding

It doesn't matter how well a team can hit and pitch if the team can't play good defense in the field. The key to playing good defense is for every player to be fundamentally sound. A great drill for this the No Glove Fielding Drill.

The No Glove Fielding Drill

Just as the name suggests, this fastpitch softball drill requires players to field the ball without a glove. The drill can be run with bare hands or with a board that is specially made for the drill and worn on the fielders' glove hand.

Players can whether field balls hit to them by the coach (more advanced) or they can field balls rolled to them. They need to couple on keeping their upper bodies quadrilateral with the ball (get in front of the ball), bending at the knees, and cradling the ball with two hands into their body.

Once players devotee the technique of fielding without a glove then they will find fielding with a glove much easier.

Hitting

The only way for a player to get great with hitting the ball is for them to actually hit. Players can whether hit a ball off a tee (to work on the basics) or they can hit pitches. Also, a part of hitting that is often overlooked is bunting. Players should be required to lay down at least 3 bunts every time they take batting institution (Bp). If possible, players should take Bp every institution and before every game.

Look for Free Girls Fastpitch Softball Drills

Softball players need to be drilled on the basics of the game (throwing, fielding, and hitting) as often as possible. Any coach or player who is finding for drills to do can actually find them. In fact, there are a great many free girls softball fastpitch drills on the internet.

How to become a Life Coach

If you've found this description from a Google search, I assume that you are already well-known with what a life coach is. Even if you are, reading my description "What is a Life Coach" will contribute you with primary information on what exactly a life coach does, how coaching contracts work, what typical coaching formats look like and how you might want to focus your firm as you consider becoming a coach.

This description is geared towards the logistics on what you can do to come to be a life coach and start your own business.

Country Coach

What Credentials do I Need?

At the risk of turning population off to life coaching in this article, I am going to give you the facts about population that are calling themselves coaches. Truth be told - there are No job requirements to come to be a coach. Sounds scary huh? Put a sign up, print some firm cards, call yourself a life coach and you are good to go. Pretty easy firm to build eh?

Lets take a bit of a closer look here. What I am certainly saying is that by law, no pro certification is required for someone to call him or herself a life coach - or coach (often the word 'life' is whether omitted or replaced with a separate word such as 'executive', 'wellness', 'lifestyle management' or 'business'). So unlike a psychologist, a physical therapist, registered dietician, a contractor, or a lawyer, the state and country (Usa) does not identify a life coach as a credentialed profession. Therefore, no license is required to call yourself a coach (at least as of the date this description is posted).

Lets look at some other examples of similar professions that might fall into the same category. How about that big one of 'consultant'. There are lots of consultants out there consulting on everything you can think of - typically a advisor needs no license to be a consultant, just taste doing so. Similar to a coach, a advisor with no taste at all can draft up a firm card and start doing business. Of procedure the big question is whether or not you'd be able to sell whatever on your services given that background. A computer advisor would probably have problem selling themselves if they knew nothing about computers!

Before Calling Yourself a Coach...

If you are intending to call yourself a coach, please understand what it means to give yourself that title. Without government regulations, I admit you can stake your claim at coachhood with relative ease, however its a discredit to the professionals with years of taste and training if you naturally use the word as an allure for clients and in any way you are misrepresenting what the coaching profession is all about. I'd recommend reading a coaches code of ethics to see if what you are gift could truly be determined coaching.

One problem that I see is that many population who are misrepresenting the profession do not even identify what it means to be a coach. I've seen Mlm (multi-level marketing) associates give their marketers buttons to put on their shirt stating 'Wellness Coach' - when all they know is a integrate of herbal supplements that the firm sells. I've seen Real Estate Agents call themselves 'Real Estate Coaches' because they wanted to differentiate themselves from the crowd of agents. Clearly these population are marketing themselves as coaches with microscopic understanding of what a coach certainly does. If you've read this far it shows you've got a true interest in becoming an ethical coach and I've no doubt that you are doing your homework!

What Background do I need?

This is an challenging question. Coaches come from all backgrounds. As previously mentioned there are coaches in the condition and wellness world, in the executive amelioration world, relationship coaches, coaches for families with children that have special needs, stress management coaches - the list goes on and on. Of procedure there are many coaches that cross pollinate and have any areas they focus on.

If you choose to focus your coaching on a specific area - lets say 'parenting troubled teens', then its a good idea that you've got a background of working with troubled teens so that you can best understand your client. Now a pure life coach is committed to recognizing that a client has their own answers and that the coaches job is to empower the client such that they see this clearly for themselves. Therefore, a coach is a generalist - their training and skill is certainly in communicating with population such that they can identify and build suitable goals and actions that fulfill their dreams. If you naturally have this skill, you've got the greatest asset that a life coach needs. Some population have an innate tendency to 'be coach'. If you don't naturally have this skill, rest assured that wish practice you can design it.

What study if any Should I Get?

If you are inspecting becoming a coach, I without fail recommend that you get training. A coach training agenda often has coaching and mentorship not only on how to be a best coach, but also on how to build your business. whether or not you choose to go straight through a full coach training certification agenda is a big decision as it will typically involve a commitment of 1-3 years, up to ,000, and will need that you procure in the middle of one and two hundred client hours to come to be certified. Prices, times to certification, and agenda depth and intensity vary greatly dependent on the agenda you choose.

Typically after an first class, you are encouraged to begin enrolling coaching clients. Therefore, you can charge what you are comfortable charging while you are going straight through the certification process (remember, you don't need a license to be a coach). I wish I knew the division of professional's out there calling themselves 'coaches' that have gone straight through a certification program. I am sure that someone's put an estimation out there but I've yet to find it. My suspicion is that it is less than 1/3 of all coaches. So being a 'certified' coach differentiates you for sure, however at the occasion a typical coaching client probably would not know the difference.

If you elected not to come to be certified, my recommendation would be that you take some first courses, come to be well-known and comfortable with what coaching is, then try your hand on clients willing to work with you. If these classes are too expensive, read straight through this whole blog, read as many books as you can find on coaching and design a toolset which you can stake claim to and favorably use to team with clients to promote their advancement and self discovery. Make yourself an expert coach based on the knowledge of what a coach is and what they do.

I remember having a conversation with one woman that a friend referred to me. She wanted to turn careers, she was very concerned in life coaching and she felt she had been coaching friends and co-workers for years. She did have a good understanding of what life coaching was. Furthermore she said she new a estimate of population that would be willing to pay her for coaching! As I coached her, all she needed to hear was herself confirming that it was Ok to get started - even if she had doubts and worries as to what a formal coaching session would look like. She had a remarkable motivation to learn regardless of whether or not that would be in the framework of a credential agenda (and I don't know if she elected to enroll in one).

What is the Icf

The Icf (International Coach Federation) is the prominent coach credentialing division on the market. Many coaches have opted to come to be a member of the Icf (by paying an every year fee to be a member), but this is certainly not a requirement to be a coach. The Icf is strongly supportive of coaching becoming a licensed field - similar as to what you see with psychologists etc. Clearly they have incentive as they would be the prominent credentialing division and this would greatly increase their membership. Many coaches believe that this will come to fruition in the next 5-10 years. At that point in time its likely we'd see a large decrease in the estimate of population calling themselves coaches as well as an increase in the credibility and the stature of the industry.

I present this because if you did elect to go straight through a coach training program, the Icf provides a list of programs that are accredited. By training straight through one of these accredited programs, it is unbelievable that your certification would be grandfathered into the status of a certified coach should a license come to be required. This might be one thing to consider as you survey what level of training and study you would like to participate in as well as who provides that training.

In Summary

To summarize, if you've been inspecting becoming a pro coach (life coach), its prominent to educate yourself on what a coach is and is not. There is a lot of information on the internet available (much on this site) that can contribute you with a foundation for understanding coaching models and how to 'be coach'.

Legally, at this point in time, there are no requirements to procure a certification or license for someone to begin calling themselves a coach (in that regards, it's similar to consulting). If you would like to begin coaching on a specific topic, its great to have a background on that topic but make sure that you know why you are differentiating what you are doing as coaching rather than consulting.

Educationally there are many coach training programs available. I recommend that you attend at least some coaching courses (or hire your own coach) such that you begin to understand how coaching works. If you do elect to go with a coach training program, a good thing to consider would be whether or not is is recognized by the International Coach Federation such that you will not to come to be re-certified in the future should this come to be an manufactures requirement.

I hope this answers your first set of questions on how to come to be a life coach - I am sure it will lead to more questions. I'll contribute more coaching tips, tools and suggestions throughout the procedure of the year on this website- so visit often. Till then...

efficient Cross-Country and Track Workouts

As a four-year varsity runner for Clarkston High School, I've had the unique satisfaction of spirited in a variety of running workouts. My coach, Michael Taylor, always believed that "A race is won or lost in practice." And since winning is a lot more fun than losing, here are some workouts that are guaranteed to aid your runners come race day.

The distance route

Country Coach

A classic-- Simple, sufficient early in the season, and kind to the slightly injured runner. This is the most basic type of workout, where runners are assigned a well-known route, normally along sidewalks and roads, and are tasked with holding a moderate pace for in any place from five to fifteen miles. Runners should commonly pick routes around three times the distance of their race. Runners typically benefit most from these workouts when they are tasked with holding a specific pace through the entire workout, and the miles built up through these workouts will preclude injury in other, more intense workouts, some of which are listed below. This kind of workout is aerobic, which means that the lungs, due to the moderate pace, are able to get sufficient air to keep the body going. This means that most of the stress and pain is focused on the leg muscles as they continue to wear and tear for somewhere around an hour, unlike the...

Interval Workout

The interval workout is, in my palpate as a runner, the most difficult, useful workout for the runner mid-season, after getting in shape with the aforementioned distance workouts. In an interval workout, a set estimate of distance or time is determined that the runner must run for. These distances or times are shorter than the distance workouts, commonly four-hundred meters, half miles, miles, two miles, and so on. However, these distances are run many times with an interval of rest in between, hence the name "Interval Workout." It is commonly advised to allow for at least the same estimate of time resting as running. As an example, a workout could be five repeat miles at five-forty pace with six minutes of rest in in the middle of every repeat. These workouts are typically run on a track where timing and administration is easy for the coach, though there are many instances where it may be more useful to run these repeats on a hilly course, sandy beach, or any other alternate procedure for more varied training. Due to the difficult nature of these workouts, injured runners may find it difficult to cope with their injuries and should cease running immediately if said injuries begin to aggravate.

Team Lane Drill

One of the more spirited workouts my coach has ever baited us into, the Team Lane Drill is a great way to build both strong muscles and team unity. This workout is performed on a track with teams of eight. The teams themselves don't compete, so think one particular team for the following explanation. All eight runners take one of the eight lanes. The runner in the innermost lane is the pace-setter and no runner is allowed to pass him in any of the other seven lanes. The coach issues a pace he would like the pacer to run, normally a moderate run, and the eight runners begin running around the track. The goal of the workout is for all eight runners to remain side-by-side, shoulder-to-shoulder for a few laps around the track. The trick of the workout however, is that every two hundred meters, the runners hit a turn around the track and the runners in the outermost lane must sprint in order to remain shoulder-to-shoulder with the pace-setter in the innermost lane. Obviously, the outermost runners run the hardest, so in order to keep things fair, the runners will all transition one lane outward after every turn. The outermost runner will transition into the innermost lane and become the pace-setter, giving him a much-deserved break. This is a surprisingly difficult workout, and as runners begin to fall behind the pace-setter, don't be surprised to find fellow teammates contribution encouragement to keep the group together, hence the team-building aspect of the workout. many eight-man teams may be running at any one time in order to allow an entire cross-country/track team to partake in the workout.

The Pacing Day

Here we are, after months of difficult training and hard workouts, a competitive meet is just around the corner, or more specifically, tomorrow. But what to do? No coach wants to waste a day of custom with easy jogging, but with competition the following day, it would be foolish to run a tough workout and tire the runners. The answer? Make it a pace finding day! When running in a meet, it's foremost for runners to be definite in their capability to hold a planned pace and reach a goal time. Therefore, the day prior to a meet, it is often wise to issue an easy interval workout where each runner attempts to run their "race-pace" for a short distance, maybe a lap or so. In this way, the runners are not left tired-- they're left with a strengthened knowledge of the pace they would like to run in competition the following day in order to accomplish their private goals.

Obviously, these are only a few of the many workouts ready to the Cross-Country/Track coach. Try to get creative with workouts, changing the distances, paces, and routes in order to keep your runners engaged in their sport. Also, avoid running the same type of workout too often, as muscles tend to grow and strengthen less when they're challenged in unusual or new workouts. Meets truly are won in practice, so give your team a running start with the above workouts and some of your own, former creations.

Girls Lacrosse Drills

Girls Love Lacrosse

Lacrosse is a fun and challenging sport that is gaining popularity surrounded by girls across the country. When it comes to lacrosse, there are a series of skills that players must learn and devotee in order to become prosperous players on the field, including pick-ups and shooting skills. The following girls lacrosse drills focus on those two qoute areas. By singling out these skills, girls will be able to exquisite them on their own before attempting to apply them to a game time situation.

Country Coach

Picking Up the Ball

The first set of girls lacrosse drills features the skill of picking up the ball from the field. Since there are no foul balls in lacrosse, anyone goes when the ball hits the ground, and as such players must be able to quickly scoop the ball into the pocket of their stick to gain possession.

For the first pick-up drill, divide your team into two lines that stand side by side at the 50-yard line. One player stands between the lines with all the balls. To begin, the player with the balls rolls one out ahead of the lines. Both players must sprint towards the ball in an attempt to retrieve it. The player who emerges with the ball continues running towards the goal. After taking a shot, both players return to the back of their respective lines.

For the next pick-up drill, divide the team into groups of four. For each group of four, set up four balls approximately 20 yards apart. The groups of four arrange themselves in a line facing a set of balls. At the sound of the coach's whistle, the first player from the line sprints for the first ball, picks it up, and brings it back to her line. Once she's crossed the line, the next player sprints for the next ball, and so on until all four balls have been successfully retrieved. The group of four that crosses the conclude line first with their fourth ball is the winner.

She Shoots, She Scores!

The next series of girls lacrosse drills will help your girls with their shooting skills, since shooting is arguably the game's most prominent skill since it is one that scores goals, and in turn wins games.

For the first shooting drill, line up between 10 and 20 balls on the top of the arc. At the sound of the coach's whistle, a player starts at the left end of the arc and picks up the balls one by one, shooting each at the goal before challenging to the next. When executing this drill, make sure players bend low to get good ball operate and cradle the ball a few times before shooting. You can try adding a goalie in the goal if you'd like your goalies to get stopping convention as well.

Finally, we have a shooting drill that rewards players with quick stick-handling skills and exquisite timing. To begin, players line up at the top of the fan with a coach in the goal with all the balls. One at a time, players sprint towards the goal while the coach lobs a ball towards the player just as they enter the arc. The player lets the ball sink into their pocket but instead of cradling the ball, they just whip it back towards the goal.

illustrious Mexican Soccer Players

Mexican soccer was all the time known for producing ability players and it's admittedly quite surprising that their best national team description is reaching the quarter-finals of a World Cup (on two occasions, 1970 and 1986, both of these World Cups being organized by Mexico). However, the Mexican national side has all the time been a constant proximity in final tournaments and it's regarded as a tough nut to crack, despite their lack of silverware.

Let's take a short look at some of the players that made Mexico the strong soccer power that it is today.

Country Coach

Famous Mexican Soccer Players - Antonio Carbajal

Nicknamed "El Cinco Copas", or "Five Cups", Antonio Carbajal was the first player to ever share in 5 World Cups with his national team and has only been equaled in 1998, by German legend Lothar Matthaus. Carbajal played for Mexico in all the 5 World Cups that took place between 1950 and 1966.

Famous Mexican Soccer Players - Hugo Sanchez

Hugo Sanchez was one of the first Mexico soccer players to play in Europe at the top level. He was an iconic player for Real Madrid between 1985 and 1992; 7 years in which he scored no less than 253 goals in 283 matches, a goal/match ratio that can hardly be rivaled.

He also played for the Mexico national team on 60 occasions, scoring 29 goals and being an leading player in the 1986 World Cup held by Mexico, in which his team managed to equal the quarter-final execution obtained initially in 1970. Hugo Sanchez is currently the manager and coach of the Mexican national squad.

Famous Mexican Soccer Players - Jared Borgetti

Borgetti was of Italian and Mexican descent and as a striker, he combined the flair and power of Italian soccer with the passion and inventively of Mexican soccer. Although he is still an active soccer player at age 34, he spent most of his time playing in the Mexican league, with 7 years for Santos Laguna, a duration of time in which he managed to score close to 200 goals in 300 matches.

But Borgetti's goalscoring run doesn't stop here, as he has also managed to come on top of the Mexican national side's all time score sheet, with 43 goals in 87 matches. Currently, Borgetti is playing for Cruz Azul and although he decided to retire from the Mexican national side for the upcoming World Cup, he stated that he would love to play for his country one last time, while the Concacaf Gold Cup tournament.

Famous Mexican Soccer Players - Claudio Suarez

Unlike many other Mexican soccer players that get to celebrate New Years with a completely new club on their payroll, Claudio Suarez has only gone straight through 4 teams throughout his whole career: Unam Pumas (1989-1996), Chivas de Guadalajara (1996-1999), Uanl Tigres (1999-2005) and Chivas Usa (2006). He made a strong impression for all of these clubs and many think him one of the best Mexican defenders to have played for his country.

Although an spectacular, defender is currently contesting this title away from Claudio Suarez, namely Rafael Marquez of Barcelona, there's one title that will hardly be touched by anyone for a long time: Claudio Suarez currently holds the description for international caps with the Mexican national team, with an spectacular, 178 appearances.

Famous Mexican Soccer Players - Rafael Marquez

Rafael Marquez is probably the best-known Mexican soccer player of today, being one of the most leading members of Spanish side Fc Barcelona. Marquez' ability to play as a central or right defender as well as a defensive midfielder earned him the aura of a "handyman", being able to play wherever his coach would need him the most.

However, Marquez has recently steadied down as a central defender, playing on this position for the Mexican national side as well as for Fc Barcelona in the last years. Age 28, Rafael Marquez is the captain of the Mexican national squad and is already being considered one of the best players in the country's history, next to legendary names such as Hugo Sanchez or Claudio Suarez.

Asian Guys and White Girls

As an Asian guy growing up colse to the world I never had any notions that dating a white girl from a separate country would be an issue at all. However, upon advent to the United States for college I realized that cultural military did put some pressures on what was approved and attainable. More importantly, Asian guys like me often sabotage ourselves from going after the girl we unquestionably want, especially if she is a good looking white girl. That being said, Indian guys and Asian guys, in terms of stereotypes are the worst with white girls in this country. It is an obstacle in the starting of game. To put it bluntly:

Negative Indian stereotypes include: smell bad, hairy, accent, dark, short, low class worker, etc. unavoidable Indian stereotypes are: hard working, polite, kind, primary and carport Negative Asian stereotypes comprise small ding dong, small, small eyes, glasses, geeky, feminine, bad accent. Asians have some unavoidable stereotypes: stable, rich, good at math, organized, detailed.

Country Coach

Stereotypes are based on mass truths and therefore we have to talk these rules. This is not to offend anyone, but in order for me to tell you how to overcome these problems we must first talk them. My dating coach, world preponderant Dj Fuji once told me a very provocative story. He said that he was coaching a big, well built and dominant black guy to talk to women at bars. Now, this guy cannot just go up to a girl and say, "I'd like to do bad things to you" because his corporal appearance is intimidating as it is. Although there is dominance there, qualities women look for in attraction, it is also less safe and requires more comfort. As a short Asian guy, Fuji recalled, he can go up to girls and say he wanted to sleep with them right away because he is not physically dominant right from the start. He therefore not only minimizes his weaknesses, but also leverages his weaknesses as strengths. We have come a long way from the 1960's when it was illegal to date interracially. Today, interracial couples can be seen anywhere you go. In much thanks for the cultural movements as well as cultural pioneers that defied the status quo. Ironically, Asian men still build prisons in their minds. Physically and legally we are now free to date whoever we like. Don't let this newfound relaxation be deterred by the negative thoughts in your head. Oftentimes, most of your fears are baseless and at worst, has a very small effect. In over analyzing and over assigning weight to the factor of culture and race, you've just invented something else to worry about that may not even be true. Some quick tips I give to all of my Asian guy clients comprise the following:

1. Work with your hair. Asians have great hair. Stylize it. Color it. Work it.

2. Take off those glasses. Get color contacts to heighten your look. Studies have shown increased attraction (all variables held constant) for men and women with contrasting hair and eye colors

3. Workout and have a strong frame. Also packing on muscle, remember that the way you move your body has a lot to do with how habitancy perceive you

4. Construct a strong sense of style that fits a particular sexual avatar. Look at Asian celebrities in Japan or back home who have fan girls screaming for them. Emulate them.

5. Hangout with other non Asian people. I see Asian guys hangout with Asian girls all the time. There's nothing wrong with this, but vary up your public circle a small bit. Step out of your relax zone and meet more non Asian folks. They will introduce you to the right white girls.

How Can I Make Money Delivering Motor Homes?

Are you a professional driver but for real do not wish to drive a bus load of habitancy or a truck 1,000s of miles per week over the country? Well have you ever view of delivering motor homes over the country instead? Here are a concentrate of the clubs that I have heard pay vast monies to delivery drivers.

Fleetwood in Orlando FloridaBeaver Motor Coach CompanyFeather Light Race Car TrailersPrevost Motor Coaches

Used Prevost Motorhomes

Pick up an Fmac Magazine. Nearly all clubs who sell Motor Homes have similar deals while peak seasons and many all year around. I have met two habitancy on the road. One in Edinburgh, Az at the Flying J we talked for an hour in the middle of the night and someone else one at a Truck Stop on I-70 in Kansas both being paid to deliver with the 00 figure, wow?

I met someone else inspiring gentleman coming out of Indiana 90 miles to the Ky border delivering a coach and told me he was being paid very well. I have met habitancy on nearly every particular cross country trip I have been on at some fuel stop in the middle of nowhere with a Motor Home with no plates that they were delivering to a customer or dealer.

This is not "unknown" commerce knowledge. There are clubs who specialize in this. Many from Ut and Tx who tow and deliver new 5th wheel trailers which is someone else incompatibility of the Industry. I think there are probably even dispatching clubs out there like the trucking clubs have who help drivers pick up return loads or less than load deliveries, I am sure of it, it is a natural progression of the need.

There currently is a 185,000 truck driver shortage in the Us, so the need for drivers who can get the job done is series. Would you like more facts on Rvs?
